Description:
Cabernet Franc di Angelino comes from our youngest vineyard and is made from 100% Cabernet Franc. We chose this variety for its ability to express elegance, freshness and depth, resulting in a red wine with a distinctive personality.
A portion of the wine is aged in French white oak barriques, where it develops greater complexity and softness, while the remainder is aged in stainless steel, preserving its freshness and varietal character. The combination of the two aging methods allows the wine to maintain a balance between structure, elegance and drinkability.
The result is an elegant and deep Cabernet Franc, yet at the same time fresh and dynamic, combining structure with drinkability. A red wine with a precise personality, where the character of the variety integrates with the distinctive identity of our hills.
Organoleptic Profile:
Deep, bright ruby red with violet reflections that highlight its youth. On the nose, it shows an elegant and distinctly varietal profile, characterized by small red and black berries, such as redcurrant, raspberry and blackberry, accompanied by delicate spicy notes and subtle noble vegetal nuances typical of Cabernet Franc. With further development, deeper aromas of aromatic herbs, pepper and woodland emerge, complemented by delicate balsamic notes.
On the palate, it is fresh, structured and dynamic, with fine, well-defined tannins. The fruity character returns on the palate, supported by lively freshness and a delicate savory note that provides balance and lift. The oak aging contributes complexity without overpowering the varietal expression, leading to a long, elegant and persistent finish, with pleasant spicy and fruity nuances.
It pairs well with medium-bodied red and white meats, roasts and savory dishes enhanced with aromatic herbs. It is particularly suited to rosemary-scented beef tagliata, roasted duck breast, veal stew and pasta with poultry ragù. It also pairs beautifully with flavorful risottos and semi-aged cheeses, especially those aged or coated with aromatic herbs. A versatile red wine, capable of bringing structure and elegance to the table while maintaining freshness and drinkability.
